Short Circuit Comedy Theatre

For a long time now I have been interested in making the Electric Guitar perform as a solo instrument - that is, with no backing tracks - and in bringing it to the status of a solo concert instrument. This doesn't mean I don't I love playing with bass and drums and other instruments. Just that something about a backing track leaves me a bit cold. I mean backing tracks are great for practise and stuff and works well to get your technique feeling right. But for performance, as a solo performer, I am looking at the Electric guitar to hold its own as a solo instrument and maybe at the most, if needed, using live looping because you hear what you see. This is mostly for distortion where it's tough to play more than one note at a time so adding harmony or a bass line does not work. Unless a gadget/pedal is discovered where you can have distortion solo guitar plus add an additional clean sound that allows multiple notes to be played with no interference from the distortion.

For years I have played the nylon string guitar and also got into the the whole finger-style vibe which I feel slowly drifted away and got too tech savvy and lost direction by becoming closed in its understanding of the vastness of music. This is just generally speaking, because there are some great musicians pushing the boundaries of acoustic finger-style. I have my own kind of music and style and composition such as Deviant Goddess, Tara, Short Circuit, Bossa Baba etc. In this cafe /workshop I am uploading 1 minute clips of guitar solo music and want inputs ideas and collaborations from other musicians, no matter your level of playing skill.... So please download stuff, upload stuff, record, give ideas, criticise and interact.... Let's enjoy this space as a Cafe/Workshop for working out guitar ideas and the future of music for Solo Electric guitar :)
